Putin dismantles Russian special construction agency Spetsstroy

MOSCOW, Dec 29 (PRIME) -- Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree to abolish the Federal Agency for Special Construction (Spetsstroy), the Kremlin said in a statement on Thursday.

“In order to improve the system of state administration, I order… to abolish the Federal Agency for Special Construction,” the statement read.

The functions of the authority will pass to the Defense Ministry.

The measures required to dismantle the agency must be completed by July 1, 2017.
